Contemporary Convertible Baby Cribs Grow with Your Child

These contemporary convertible baby cribs convert from a nice size crib into a toddler bed. For grade school aged children, it converts to either a full bed or a day bed, depending on the child's preference.

When preparing for a new baby, these cribs are great baby room, or baby nursery, furniture. Basically, this furniture is cribs to college furniture.

While most people would consider a full-size bed too small for two adults, my maternal grandparents never had a bed larger than full-size their entire married lives. Even so, most teens would appreciate the extra room afforded by the size of a full bed.

If these stylish convertible cribs were available when my children were babies, I didn't know it. It would have been such a nice baby bed to own, though, since it would have lasted into their teens, and moved with them into their homes after they married.

The bed possibly could have been passed down to one of their children, too. Some, such as the one pictured above, have changing tables, while others have under bed storage included.

The only problem I can foresee with these is the need to keep up with the additional parts, such as the bed rails. However, by hanging them in the garage or storing them in the attic, you could work around this issue.

Even at the price of many of these contemporary cribs, I really like the idea of purchasing one product that will last for many years. It appeals to my frugal nature. Baby nursery ideas and furniture that last beyond the first year or three are fantastic ways to save money in the long run.

  • Crib sheets (you will need several)

  • Crib blankets (you will need several)
