West Bend Electric Can Openers Make Opening Heavy Cans Easy

In my opinion, West Bend Electric Can Openers are the best electric can openers available.

The can opener, or tin opener, has great features, including a cord bin that keeps the cord from straggling across your counter, a knife sharpener, and a bottle opener.

A magnetized arm captures the can lid to prevent the lid falling into the can's contents once the lid is completely cut away.

Tall enough to open gallon size cans and juice cans, this West Bend can opener takes up very little countertop space with its slender design.

The can opener currently comes in two colors, black and metallic silver, making it easily match most kitchen décor.

My favorite feature is the button on top; press the button and the entire cutting assembly comes off for washing. The cutting assembly is dishwasher safe, so you can pop it in the dishwasher.

This is so important. Dirty can openers can transfer contaminants such as botulism into your food. The pop off cutting assembly on the West Bend electric can opener makes it easy to keep it clean. When you take it out of the dishwasher, just snap it back into place, and you are ready to open the next can.

With a limited one year warranty, the West Bend Electric Can Opener is a great value, but if the blade becomes damaged after the warranty runs out, West Bend has replacement cutting blades available.

I'm not the only person who likes this can opener. 1726 out of 2432 (or more) reviewers on Amazon rated this can opener 5 out of 5 stars.

In recent years, arthritis and carpal tunnel issues make it almost impossible to use a manual can opener. I simply don't have the strength in my hands to hold the manual can opener tight enough while opening a heavy can.

Not only does the West Bend electric can opener make it easier to open cans when I need to, it makes short work of it, too. See the video below for a demonstration of this can opener.

Manual Can Opener - Also Known as a Tin Opener

For those times when the electricity goes out, it is important to have a back up manual can opener!

This OXO Good Grips Smooth Edge Can Opener cuts the side of the can seal, instead of cutting the lid out of the center. This results in a cut with a smooth edge--perfect for small children, since there are no sharp edges.

This Norpro Grip-EZ Can Opener comes in red or green. Perfect if you are trying to color coordinate everything in your kitchen. This more traditional style is quite popular.

Manual Can Openers
Every home should have a manual can
opener, too, for emergency use.

Which do you prefer, an electric can opener or a manual can opener?
